Painting a shop or office in Cheltenham
The shopping strips and centres here, and what each means for painting a shop or office.
Charman Road: shopfronts next to an 1864 cemetery
Wikipedia says Cheltenham's shopping centre is on Charman Road in the middle of the suburb, next to the railway station and the Pioneers Cemetery established in October 1864, and Victorian Places says the township's buildings and the station are heritage-listed. Old shopfronts here carry many coats, often oil-based enamel underneath. Loose paint is scraped off, bare timber primed, and the written quote says what each surface gets. If your building is heritage-listed, tell us at the start.
Southland's long walls on Nepean Highway
Victorian Places says Myer opened Southland as a drive-in centre in 1968, that it had 63,000 square metres of lettable floor by 1995, and that the Lucas Batteries factory site was taken for its expansion across the Nepean Highway in 1999. Wikipedia counts up to 416 stores today. Walls facing the highway and the car parks take full sun and go chalky. Chalky walls are washed and sealed, and high ones are painted from lifts such as cherry pickers.
Offices, schools and strata blocks in a two-council suburb
Kingston council runs the east of Cheltenham and Bayside the west, and the suburb has six schools, with Cheltenham Primary from 1855. We paint for offices, schools, strata managers and property managers. Tell us term dates or lease dates and which rooms must stay open, and the written quote sets when each part is done.
Trading while the front is painted
Tell us your opening hours and which door has to stay clear. The quote sets out the order of work, the prep, the price with GST and the timing. Jobs are done by qualified painters, we hold public liability insurance, and the certificate is there to see on request.

Don't pay to paint your Cheltenham building twice.
In Cheltenham, like anywhere, the cheapest quote skips the prep, uses cheap paint and does one coat. It looks fine for a few months, then it peels, and you're paying someone to strip it and start again.

Quotes and price
Do you take on strata painting in Cheltenham?
Yes. Call or send the form with a line about the building and we'll come and look at it.
How do I get a quote?
Call us or send the form with a line about the job and where you are. We'll arrange a time to look at it and give you a written quote. The quote is free.
How much does it cost to paint a building?
It depends on the size of the area, how much preparation the surfaces need, their condition, access and height, and how many coats it takes. We don't guess over the phone: we look at the job and put the price in writing, with each of those explained.
Do you take a deposit?
Yes, but only enough to cover the materials for your job. Everything else about payment is set out in your written quote before we start.
The job itself
Who actually does the painting?
Daniel's team of trade-qualified painters. Daniel runs the business and is your contact from the quote to the final walk-through.
What paint do you use?
Dulux, on every job. We pick the right Dulux product for the surface, whether that's a wet-area ceiling, weatherboards or a factory wall.
Peace of mind
Are you insured?
Fully insured, $20 million public liability, on every job.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. We back our work with a 7-year workmanship guarantee on interior walls and ceilings. The guarantee covers peeling, flaking or blistering of paint we applied, caused by our preparation or application: 7 years on eligible interior walls and ceilings, 12 months on other eligible painted surfaces, and no fixed period on decks, floors, paths, stains, oils and clear finishes. It stays with the customer who paid for the job and doesn't pass to a new owner. Other conditions apply. The full terms are on our guarantee page.
When can I reach you?
Answering the phone 7 days. Call 0481 737 626, or send the form any time.
