What an interior repaint covers

Most interior jobs are some mix of walls, ceilings, skirtings, architraves and doors. You can do the whole house or just the rooms that need it, like a hallway that takes the knocks or a bedroom before a new arrival. The quote lists each room and each surface, so you can see exactly what's in and what isn't.

Mouldy bathroom and laundry ceilings

Paint rolled over mould seals it in, and the spots come back through the new coat. Our crews treat and clean mouldy wet-area ceilings before any paint goes on. A fan that runs after a shower helps the new finish stay clean.

Old oil-based paint on the trims

Plenty of older homes still have glossy oil-based enamel on the doors and window frames. Water-based paint put straight over it can peel off in strips. When we come to quote, we check the trims for it, because it changes the prep and the time the job takes.

Living in the house while it's painted

Interior painting is usually done a room or two at a time, so you keep a kitchen, a bathroom and somewhere to sleep. Before you book, it's worth deciding which rooms can be emptied first and where the furniture will go.

Aussie Painting vs the lowest bid

Don't pay for your interior repaint twice.

The cheapest quote skips the prep, uses cheap paint and does one coat. It looks fine for a few months, then it peels, and you're paying someone to strip it and start again.

Quotes and price

How do I get a quote?

Call us or send the form with a line about the job and where you are. We'll arrange a time to look at it and give you a written quote. The quote is free.

How much does it cost to paint a house?

It depends on the size of the area, how much preparation the surfaces need, their condition, access and height, and how many coats it takes. We don't guess over the phone: we look at the job and put the price in writing, with each of those explained.

Do you take a deposit?

Yes, but only enough to cover the materials for your job. Everything else about payment is set out in your written quote before we start.

How long will the job take?

It depends on the size of the job, how much prep it needs and, outside, the weather. Before we start you get a planned schedule, and if anything moves the dates we tell you.

The job itself

Who actually does the painting?

Daniel's team of trade-qualified painters. Daniel runs the business and is your contact from the quote to the final walk-through.

What paint do you use?

Dulux, on every job. We pick the right Dulux product for the surface, whether that's a wet-area ceiling, weatherboards or a factory wall.

Do we need to move out while you paint inside?

Usually not. We work room by room and agree the order with you so the house stays livable. Floors, furniture and lights are covered, and we clean up properly at the end, with no dust or drips left behind.

Do you paint commercial buildings and factories?

Yes. As well as homes we paint offices, shops, warehouses and factories across Frankston & Mornington Peninsula.

Peace of mind

Are you insured?
